The Annual Rite of Passage Western Region Run Ride Swim Survive event took place this year on July 29th in Minden Nevada. Sierra Ridge Academy students participated in a series of grueling events competing with both Silver State Academy and the Qualifying Houses.
Sierra Ridge was determined to try for a three-peat, and succeeded in walking away with both the Gold and Silver Medals in the all-around competition which included events in a 3 mile cadence run, a swimming meet, an ultimate Frisbee challenge and competitive 5/20 workout. Sierra Ridge stayed focused and determined and while they did not win the spirit award and sweep the event, they were the winners of Gold in the Triathlon.
Sierra Ridge Academy had two teams representing at this year’s event, the Sierra Ridge Regulators and the Sierra Ridge Academy Squad
